On our Mainstage we have presented everything from Aristophanes to Arthur Miller, from beloved classics of American comedy to challenging dramas about the most current social issues. Utilizing all of the resources of our theatre community, these productions represent the best of what PACP can achieve through the work of talented and dedicated amateurs.

ARSENIC AND OLD LACE

The story of the charming, innocent ladies who populate their cellar with the remains of socially and religiously "acceptable" roomers, the antics of their brother who thinks he is Teddy Roosevelt and the activities of the other brother. -No more description is needed.

A touching, funny and warmly perceptive study of a spirited, lovable elderly couple who return to their summer home for the 44th year. He is a retired professor with heart palpitations and a failing memory; she delights in small things. An unexpected teenage visitor provides lessons for all.

CELEBRATION

Musical by Tom Jones and Harvey Schmidt

Directed by Pat Owens

A fable set on New Year's Eve, the play focuses on an optimistic young man, a wealthy but jaded old man, a sweet entertainer and a narrator who also acts as advisor. At the musical's core is the struggle between youth and old age, innocence and corruption, love and ambition, poverty and wealth.

A group of famous fables by the Brothers Grimm and Aesop once again introduces Henny Penny, the Golden Goose, the Bremen Town Musicians and other favorites. An enchanting evening.
